Ajith’s ‘Billa-2’ logo creates huge sensation

Ajith Kumar’s Billa-2 is fast-progressing as director Chakri Toleti doesn’t want to take any unnecessary breaks between the schedules. The crew has already completed working on first schedule and second one is being filmed across the exotic locales of Goa. It is worth mentioning that major portions of the film will be shot across the scenic backdrops of locations in beaches. The film marks the beginning of David, a normal person across the region of Tuticorin, who turns out to be the world’s topmost mafia kingpin.

The film is directed by Chakri Toleti, who made his debut directorial through the film ‘Unnai Pol Oruvan’ that starred Kamal Haasan and Mohan Lal in lead roles.

The film has musical score by Yuvan Shankar Raja and is reported of having come up with a splendiferous musical score. Especially the theme music is said to be rocking to the top. On the festive occasion of Diwali, the makers released the logo of ‘Billa-2’ with the tagline – The Beginning, which has sensationalized the entire town.

Venkat Prabhu thanks fans for ‘Mankatha’ 50 days success

Ajith says no to do films under Sona Productions

The Mankatha team got great success this year. Moreover this is the 50th film of Ajith that is directed by Venkat Prabhu. After the peak success the team is planned to get together for one more project. The star also promised the director to do another film under his direction.

But the latest news was that the hero says ‘No’ to Venkat for the film as he had promised. It is known that controversial actress Sona is going to produce the film of the director Venkat Prabhu. The sources says that the Ajith had walked out of this team.

We already knew about the police case that was given by Sona against S P B Charan. It was said that S P B Charan had sexually assaulted Sona during the ‘Mankatha’ success party that was organized at Vaibhav’s residence recently.

The sources said that it was the main reason for Ajith to come out of the team. Ajith did not like the team’s immature handling of the issue and Sona’s attitude itself. He has decided not to get involved with the team in future too. Anyway we are missing one more success film under Ajith and Venkat Prabhu team.

Ajith Kumar injured on Billa 2 sets

Ajith Kumar has been injured on the sets of Billa 2. During the filming of the forthcoming movie in Goa, the actor got a small cut on his hand while performing an action sequence.

Sources say that the incident took place a few days ago in Goa. Ajith Kumar was involved in the action scene, where Thala was supposed to hit a baddie with a glass bottle. But accidentally the bottle broke and he cut his hand. However, the crew came to his rescue and aided him.

Ajith Kumar, Parvathy Omanakuttan and Bruna Abdullah starrer Billa 2 has completed its first schedule of the shooting in Pondicherry. The movie is a sequel to Billa, which was a remake of Bollywood movie Don. The second instalment has a fresh story, which is written and directed by Chakri Toleti.

Ajith's Next Is With Vishnuvardhan

Even as the industry is abuzz with reports that Ajith might do the sequel to Indian with Shankar for producer A M Rathnam, sources close to both the actor and director refute the claims.
A source says, “Shankar, in an interview to a magazine, had said that he was toying with the idea of making a sequel to Indian. Even Rathnam was keen on the project. But then, Shankar has never initiated a discussion on it yet. He’s concentrating only on Nanban and it will be a while before he decides on his next film.” The source adds, “The story about Ajith doing the sequel might have surfaced after it was confirmed that he is doing a film for producer A M Rathnam. It was assumed that the film would be with Shankar and would be Indian 2.
However, Ajith will be doing a film with Vishnuvardhan for Rathnam and that stands confirmed. He’s currently shooting in Goa for Chakri Toleti’s Billa 2. Official announcement on his next project will be made once he wraps up the prequel to Billa.”

Thala Ajith lauds Raghava Lawrence for Kanchana

It is a well known fact that Ajith Kumar is a symbol of determination and has a big heart. Amidst his busy schedule Ajith never fails to look encourage and appreciate good attempts made by others in the film industry.


Recently, the actor had a chance to watch Lawrence's recent hit 'Kanchana'. After watching the movie, Ajith wasted no time in calling Raghava Lawrence over to his residence. Lawrence was at Ajith's residence soon after the call and they both shared lighter moments about their earlier days of working together in 'Amarkalam'.

Ajith had parsed Lawrence for his brilliant script work. Moreover, Ajith had requested Lawrence to come out with a good script for himself. Lawrence was touched with the generous praise. So, there is a chance for Ajith to work with Lawrence in the future as his recent release 'Mankatha' happened the same way.

Ajith in Indian 2

Producer AM Rathinam, who had produced the smash hit film Indian, which starred Kamal Haasan and directed by Shankar, is toying with the idea of making a sequel. The producer is planning to rope in director Shankar to direct the film with Ajith in the lead.

The initial discussions are likely to place soon, sources say. Shankar and Ajith were supposed to come together for Jeans, but this did not materialize and Prashanth bagged the offer. If Ajith and Shankar join hands, it would certainly turn out to be the most expected film of the year.

Karthi stunned by Ajith’s guts

Karthi may have entered the film industry in a negative role in Paruthiveeran but he is awed by Ajith’s guts to do a role that has shades of grey. The actor said that he saw Mankatha recently and was surprised to see Ajith in negative role and that too playing his real age with grey hairs.

Every established actor would be so image conscious and think twice about being cast in such a role, but Ajith’s guts is really awesome, Karthi said. He fitted the role so perfectly and he is the only star who could have pulled off the role, Vinayak Mahadevan.

Mankatha is directed by Venkat Prabhu and starred Arjun, Premji Amaren, Trisha, Lakshmi Rai, Vaibhav and others.
